All Week Long!

Driscoll Extended Day is collecting candy for A Sweet Delivery for the Troops.

Consumer spending on Halloween candy is expected to reach $2 billion this year, according to the National Retail Federation, and many households will have a lot of it left over.

DEDP is encouraging  families to avoid the temptation of eating all that candy with a community service project through Operation Gratitude.

Operation Gratitude is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that seeks to lift the morale of service-members by sending care packages.

DEDP will set up  boxes in the cafeteria at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. where leftover candy can be donated during the week of October 31.   DEDP will send the candy  to Operation Gratitude, which will include it in care packages.
